SSIMA is an international event to bring people working in MedTech (assisting clinical experts with modern healthcare technology) up-to-date with world-class speakers (see the CVs on this page). A clear focus is on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning.

1. For researchers, PhD students and MSc students: a dedicated SSIMA:Tech track, with dedicated tutorial lectures, and much interaction with the speakers. This is an ideal opportunity to get up-to-date, get and exchange new ideas with colleagues and find new collaboration partners.
2. For radiologists and other clinical experts: a dedicated SSIMA:Med track, with tutorial lectures on applications, critical performance issues and legal issues.

We expect around 150 participants, coming from all over the world. The week is informal. It is not a conference, but a school, with emphasis on deep understanding, and mixing the three target groups, as interdisciplinary is what gives new ideas. The setting in the charming old downtown of Oradea gives ample opportunities for lively discussions and brainstorms in the evenings.
